Hello 70's!

The 70's was the most creative and versatile fashion era. It had everything: from minis from the 60's to bell bottoms to hippies with their flower power and maxis, and not to forget the punks. There were no do's and don'ts in fashion. Women and men unabashedly wore florals, vibrant colours and fearlessly mixed prints. There was sexual equality, liberty and revolution in the air and this reflected in the fashion of that decade. Ah! What's not to love about that era! Now you know why our designers keep revisiting the 70's.

I put together this outfit with some inspiration from the 70's. Wearing a full sleeved maxi can be very tricky for someone who is vertically challenged. It could just look too much or overwhelming so I tried to break the monotony of the dress with a belt and paired it with boots and a fringed bag to bring some edge to the outfit.

By the way, how difficult is it to find full-sleeved maxis?

  1. Whoa. Upping the ante, eh? Love it! The entire look is so you! I especially love how the (for the lack of a better word) macho boots contrast with the ultra femme dress.
